New #Duma arson attack; #Israel must ensure vulnerable #WestBank #Palestinian communities are protected

PALESTINIAN-ISRAEL-CONFLICT-ATTACKI am concerned by reports of yet another arson attack on the home of the Dawabsha family last night in Duma in the occupied West Bank. If confirmed, this despicable act would be the third incident in this particular village in the last year.

Since the 31 July 2015 terrorist arson attack in which Jewish extremists torched the Dawabsha home, killing three family members and leaving four year-old Ahmed orphaned, indictments have been made, but the perpetrators of this terrible crime have yet to face justice. I call upon the authorities to move swiftly in bringing the perpetrators of this terrible crime, as well as this latest incident, to justice.

I also urge Israel, as the occupying power, to ensure that vulnerable Palestinian communities in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, are protected in line with its obligations under international law.

Two of the Duma attacks were by Palestinians against fellow Arabs.
There have been thousands of Palestinian terrorist attacks targetting Israeli civilians where Fatah names streets and pays these Arab murderers of Israeli civilians and you say nothing.
You are a Fraud Mr. Mladenov.

I’m very proud and of your objective approaches and firm positions in support of human rights, Mr. Mladenov.

Terrorism and incitement must be stopped on both sides, but it can never be sufficient to only fight hatred and fear, unless we simultaneously work to enhance and foster a culture of coexistence and appreciating each other’s groups and diversity, instead of sustaining the dominant culture of competitivity and insecurity.

Minister Mladenov, sure we need to bring those to justice, but we more importantly need to address the causatives of frustration and despair to stop further actions of violence. Those causatives are NOT only incitement and settlement expansion, it’s far beyond that.

We need to enhance a culture that brings people together rather than to divide them by the fears of common threats and greeds.
